Louis Herman, 21 of Ft. Thompson, died Saturday, July 28 near Ft Thompson as a result of an automible accident a Wake Service will begin at 7:00pm, Saturday, August 4 at the Crow Creek Tribal Center in Ft. Thompson and will continue until the time of service on Monday. Services will be 2:30pm, Monday, August 6 at the Crow Creek Tribal Center in Ft. Thompson with burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Ft. Thompson
Louis Michael Herman was born on February 3, 1991 in Rosebud, SD to Michael and Yvette (Isburg) Herman, Sr. He grew up in Ft. Thompson attended elementary and middle school in Chamberlain and graduatde from Crow Creek High School. Louis was starting his Black Jack/Poker dealing training at the Lode Star Casino at the time of his death.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Yvette; brothers: Nicolas, Christian and Michael Jr. and sister Anishinaabe: Grandmother Sally Herman, Grandmother Joyzelle Godfrey; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Parnell Herman Sr., Uncle Parnell Herman Jr., great-father Louis Edgar Herman; great-grandmother Catherine Rain Water; aunt Nicolle Rilling; great-grandparents, Lawrence and Nina Gingway; great-uncle Larry Gingway; grandfather Donald Isburg and great-aunt Lorraine Flaws.
