Delores Patrick, 86, of Vivian, died Tuesday, May 1 at her home. Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Friday, May 4 at Vivian Lutheran Church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Services will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 5 at Vivian Lutheran with Pastor Jeff Swanson and Father Gary Oreshoski, officiating. Burial will be at Vivian Cemetery
Delores M. Muhutga was born to Chancey and Bertha (Fieber) Muhutga on March 22, 1926 in Ft. Pierre. She was raised on her parent’s homestead south of Ft. Pierre and attended rural school. On May 3, 1952, she married Leslie Patrick in Ft. Pierre and they settled on a ranch 12 miles north of Vivian and had five children.
In 1978, Les and son, Keith, bought Vivian Motors. In 1982, they moved into Vivian where she spent the remainder of her life. Delores was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and auctions.
Grateful for sharing her life are her children: Keith (Marlene) Patrick, Terry (Angeline) Patrick, Barb (Mike) Concannan, Bob (Lesa) Patrick and Kevin (Jeanine) Patrick; eight grandchildren: Shannon (Andy) Hinman, Sarah Patrick, Logan Patrick, Caitlin Concannan, Michael Concannan, Taylor Patrick, Carmen Patrick and Raeann Patrick; and one brother, Vic Muhutga. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les; granddaughter, Lindy Patrick; and a brother Robert Muhutga.
